“The ache for home lives in all of us. The safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned.”
As a proactive effort to hold safe space for
Black and queer people of the African diaspora,
Hella Black Brunch is holding court at home.
An AI reimagining of a digital collage on a rich green background, bordered on the left and bottom by vibrant orange marigold flowers.
We are hosting a homecoming celebration,
a communal brunch filled with flavors of our Diaspora, collective celebration, and the kind of love that holds us.
HBB Homecoming is a buffet-style brunch (yes! that means you get seconds) fusing savory, sweet, spicy, Southern, and diasporic notes, all accented with signature small batch spices -
Celie and Squeak’s Soft and Warm, as well as Hella Black Brunch + Indigo Culinary Co’s Juneteenth Jawn.
Of course, there'll be gluten-free and vegan meal options as well!
For safety and security, all guests will be asked to test for Covid no more than 24 hours prior to attending the event.
Additionally, venue information will be shared upon confirmation of registration.
